After a particulalry hot and humid summer 2025, Autumn weather has finally arrived. With the season change , Dr. Richard Lynch has been conducting Air Quality, Mold and Chemical Exposure moinitoring in schools, commercial offices, hospitals and residential structures. During our recent inspections we are observing that thermostat and fresh air dampers in many schools and offices are in need of adjusment to re-establish fresh air introduction and free cooling to improve air quality and comfort.
As a reminder, for offices and schools, ASHRAE recommends indoor temperatures be maintained between 68-72 degrees F. during the heating season, 74-78 F during summer cooling season, and 68-79 F during transition seasons.
We also encourage ESMCorp clients to review your HVAC operating parameters now including inspection and replacement of air filters, which may show signs of premature wear or loading due to the recent summer heat, heavy rainfall and humidity.
Thanks again, to our valued clients for your continued support.
